After a stroke, walking, daily tasks and speech can all be affected at once. Jubilant's physical, occupational and speech therapists work as one team, in the place your loved one lives.
How each therapy helps
Physical therapy: Balance, walking, strength, and safe transfers from bed, chair and toilet.
Occupational therapy: Dressing, bathing, cooking, and using an affected arm or hand in daily routines. Home safety setup.
Speech therapy: Speaking and understanding, word-finding, memory and attention strategies, and safe swallowing.
Why at home
Practicing in the real kitchen, bathroom and hallway makes new skills easier to use every day. It also spares a tired patient and caregiver the trip to a clinic.
Good fit when
Your loved one has finished inpatient rehab or home health, isn't homebound, and still has goals to work on.
